Description

A pristine Brazilian beach stretches out before me, it’s late afternoon. There’s a slight breeze keeping the six-foot waves perfectly shaped. I decide to purchase some fresh, raw tuna from a vendor on the boardwalk next to the beach. I am walking with two unknown friends. There are many surfers in the water, but they are all short boarders. One man, a short, slightly chubby, middle-aged bald guy, keeps getting perfect “lefts,” getting barreled. I ask a local, “hey, are there any long boarders that surf around here?” He replies, “no, this is for serious surfing, not kid stuff.” This angers me deeply and I decide I must find a long board and surf. I realize I still have the fresh fish with me so I sprint back to my hotel as fast as I can. This is fun, as I am dodging all sorts of people on the way, jumping from side to side. I get to the hotel and there are two young, attractive girls behind the desk. I ask, “can you hold my fish for me?” One replies, “oh sure,” and tosses it in a conveniently placed mini-fridge behind the counter. I sprint back out to the ocean and have a vision of John Mayer drinking a glass of scotch for breakfast. Then my alarm goes off.
